I am an experienced English teacher of both Literature and Language, and also Classical Studies at High School level. You will find text-based resources for novels, poetry, plays and film study in my shop for Years 7 - 13. The resources are generic to the text so are suitable for any curriculum. I am also a passionate believer in effective literacy learning hence the emphasis on phonics resources in my shop.

56 words cards, 56 picture cards and 28 sound cards. Phonics match up game. The cards can be laminated and used on white boards if a magnetic strip is attached to the back. Or, they can be used as a good, old fashioned cut and paste activity for students to develop their phonemic awareness. The cards can also be used to scaffold ‘sentence building’ for students.

I never thought I would be using Godzilla and King Kong to develop Maths skills, yet here we are : ) 20 flashcards, each students gets a card. At the top they have the answer to the previous sum. They have to ask their math question, the others students have to work out based on the number of Baby Godzillas and Baby Kongs, if they have the correct answer at the top of their card. Godzilla is always the first number. Kong the second. It’s a basic card loop game involving numbers 1-12.
