October Theme 3: Sleep to succeed
This 15 minute presentation contains images, quote and a short video to help students explore the importance of a good nights sleep to their success in school. It works well as a whole school theme of the week activity for form time (see theme of the week planner)
Black History Month - EYFS KS1 Exploring a Character from a story
Activities to support Black History Month for EYFS/KS1 students. The focus is on exploring diverse characters from a story - specifically family role models / black men / fathers. Very accessible for pupils. Provides a different focus from the usual.
One week of continuous provision is included all linked to theCharacters in the picture book ‘Daddy and Me!’ by Emma Phillips. The original story book is available on amazon or in a whiteboard version here on TES. (links are in the resource)

Theme of the Week Half Term Bundle
This bundle contains 7 complete presentations/lessons for use during form time by the whole school.
The themes are based on my theme of the week calendar (also included). This bundle is for Autumn 1. All themes are interchangeable and can be used at different times of the year as desired.

October Theme 1: Black History Month
This is a 15 minute whole school presentation and activity on the theme of Black History Month. It includes two video links and is used during form time in our school to explore the theme of the week (see theme of the week planner)
October Theme 2: Diwali
This is a 15 minute whole school presentation and activity on the theme of Diwali. It is used during form time to explore the theme of the week (see theme of the week planner)
September Theme 4: Resourcefulness
This is a 15 minute whole school presentation and activity on the theme of resourcefulness. It is used during form time to explore the theme of the week (see theme of the week planner)
November Theme 1: anti-bullying
This is a 15 minute whole school presentation and activity on the theme of anti-bullying. It is used during form time to explore the theme of the week (see theme of the week planner)
December Theme 2: Human rights
This is a 15 minute whole school presentation and activity on the theme of Human Rights. It is used during form time to explore the theme of the week (see theme of the week planner) or can be adapted for assembly
December Theme 3: Christmas
This is a 15 minute whole school presentation and activity on the theme of Christmas. It is used during form time to explore the theme of the week (see theme of the week planner)
November Theme 2: Remembrance Day

November Theme 3: Motivation

Buddhism introduction
A one hour, fully resourced lesson exploring the life of the Buddha.
Students will learn the story of the Buddha through a story presentation. They will understand three Buddhist ideas:
true happiness is in the mind not in conditions in life;
true happiness is to achieved by living ‘in the moment’;
true happiness is dependent on having a ‘controlled mind’.

Buddhism - 6 lesson bundle plus assessment
6 hours worth of lessons introducing Buddhism - perfect for KS3. It is suitable for use with students who know very little about Buddhism but can be easily tweaked to be suitable for more able students.
