Activities to support Black History Month for EYFS/KS1 students. The focus is on exploring diverse characters from a story - specifically family role models / black men / fathers. Very accessible for pupils. Provides a different focus from the usual. One week of continuous provision is included all linked to theCharacters in the picture book ‘Daddy and Me!’ by Emma Phillips. The original story book is available on amazon or in a whiteboard version here on TES. (links are in the resource)

It also includes a 6 week zones journal to accompany the programme that can be used by students to record their learning about zones as well as their reflections/doodles as they work their way through each week. This makes the perfect introduction to the Zones of Regulation for whole school implementation during form time OR it is a great start of year recap of the Zones of Regulation for students who are already familiar with the programme.
