winter months can become cold and boring for children hopefully these pages will be
engaging at this time.
Download and print this collection of winter mazes to use as a fun activity for your
children.
Why should children work on mazes?
Mazes are fun for children but there are also many benefits beyond entertainment.
One skill practiced is hand eye coordination. Children need to carefully follow a path while
staying in the lines.
Mazes can offer a way to practice problem solving as they search to find the correct path to
the end.
Children can enjoy these as a morning entry task or maybe for a brain break during work
time.
If you are stuck with indoor recess and can’t offer students your traditional games and toy,
mazes might be an option they will enjoy.

Valentine’s Day Math Activities Worksheets Valentine Story Problems
Valentine’s Day Math Worksheets – Valentine Story Problems Post Preview: Use this
printable math story problems packet for 1st – 3rd grade for some Valentine’s Day math
activities.
Many a student will cringe when it’s time to do story problems. Math can feel a lot easier
when you’re just given some numbers written out in a more standard form.
However, working on story problems is so important of course. In life, we’re rarely given
problems nicely written out. Most of the math we solve outside of school and homework are
story problems.
Today I’m sharing a free packet of story problems for Valentine’s Day for 1st – 3rd grade.
This can be a way to add some Valentine’s Day flair to your math time.

VALENTINE’S DAY MATH WORKSHEETS: VALENTINE STORY PROBLEMS FOR
1ST – 3RD GRADE
This Valentine’s Day Math Worksheets Packet includes 12 different Valentine-themed story
problems that require addition and subtraction. While some could also be solved with simple
multiplication or division, that is absolutely not necessary for these problems.
There are four story problems on each of the three pages of math problems. The packet
includes the three pages in color as well as the same three pages in black and white. Since
both are included, you can pick what works best for you.
Valentine’s Day Word Search Printables for Kids
Valentine’s Day word search printables focuses on some cute Valentine’s Day fun. There are
word searches on Valentine’s Day symbols, Valentine’s Day words, and Valentine’s Day
gifts. This is a fun and free Valentine’s Day set for kids!
It will only be about a month before Valentine’s Day is here. I love Valentine’s Day, and so
this printable set is already going to be my second Valentine’s Day printable set this year.
(My first for this year was this set of Color Your Own Valentines.) I can’t help it – it’s just a fun
holiday!
To help you gear up for Valentine’s Day, I have a brand new Valentine’s Day Word Search
Printables Packet. It includes three different word searches that focus on different aspects of
Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day Alphabet Printables Practice Packet (One Page for Each Letter) 27 pages
Valentine’s Day is just the best! It’s one of my favorite holidays in the classroom or at home. I
love all the decorated valentine boxes, little Valentine’s Day cards handed out, and all the
yummy treats.
It’s just a fun time and one I have loved since I was in elementary school.
Each page includes:
A picture with directions of how to make the upper and lower case of the letter for that page
Three lines to practice writing the capital letter for the page
Two lines to write the lower case letter for that page
A heart graphic with letters inside circles. Children will color in only the letters that are the
ones that were practiced on that page. There is a short instruction that tells them which
letters to color.

HOW TO USE THIS PACKET
First important thing: You don’t really have to use this packet around Valentine’s Day if you
don’t want to. Other than the cover page, there is no specific mention of Valentine’s Day. So,
feel free to use these pages whenever you want. Hearts are not exclusive to February 14th.
All of the pages (except one) of the Valentine’s Day alphabet printables packet are outlines.
This is great for saving on printer ink!
I would recommend just giving students one or two pages to work on at a time. However, if
you want to put together a whole packet for them, you could consider using it for at-home
practice or put it in a pronged folder in the classroom for them to work on over a certain
course of time.
