These A4 differentiated word vocabulary mats are an essential tool for any child and would be perfect laminated and stored in boxes in the middle of the table.
Included on the mats are adjectives, adverbs, verbs, prepositions and on mat 5, prompts for uplevelling writing The attached images show each mat but each pack includes:
Mat 1 for less able (one A4 sheet)
Mat 2 for less able (one A4 sheet)
Mat 3 for middle ability (two A4 sheets, designed to be back to back)
Mat 4 for higher ability (two A4 sheets, designed to be back to back)
Mat 5 for challenge ability (two A4 sheets, designed to be back to back)
The resource is colourfully designed with the colours linked to the language through colour system. However any child can use these mats regardless of whether they are using this system.
This Teach, Practise, Extend PowerPoint resource focuses on adverbs and how they are used in sentences to describe a verb. In total there are three slides:
Slide 1 - Definition of an adverb including examples of how they are used in sentences. Examples of less obvious (words not ending in ly) are given on this slide as well.
Slide 2 - Ten sentences where the children need to add in adverbs to make the sentence make sense.
Slide 3 - The children write eight sentences containing more adventurous adverbs and then replace the adverb with another which means the sentence still makes sense.

Slide 1 - Definition of a prefix with examples and how they change the meaning of the word.
Slide 2 - Sixteen words where the children need to add a prefix to the beginning of the word to make a new word.
Slide 3 - Ten prefixes given and the children need to use a dictionary to come up with three words beginning with each prefix. They then need to choose one word to put into a sentence.

This Teach, Practise, Extend PowerPoint resource focuses on using the equivalences between fractions, decimals and percentages and is linked to the Year 6 National Curriculum. In total there are seven slides:
Slides 1, 3 - 5 (teach) - Slide 1 teaches children how to convert a fraction into a decimal. Slides 3 - 5 show the children, with examples how to convert between fractions, decimals and percentages.
