Canva is an excellent, free, design tool that can save you time and money. It makes sense to use this instead of paying for expensive designers. This resource comes in PPT form and a pdf. This is a complete lesson on complaint resolution using the TACTICS method. The resource contains a lesson plan, worksheets, diagrams of the model, a company policy to review, and practical exercises for the group to carry out. There is also a feedback form included. The acronym TACTICS is used to work through a step by step process to handle a complaint from a customer. This is an important aspect of customer service. Once the learner has reviewed the process, it is a good idea to have the class separate into groups and role play various complaints scenarios using this method. All documentation is provided. This is an excellent resource to use for groups of people that have just come together, as a class or as a project team. It consists of an interactive powerpoint presentation that introduces the topic of values and starts the thought process of what values really are and why they are so important to identify on a personal and group level. The resource also contains a three page worksheet that has over 50 values listed. The group go through and identify their own values and then as a team agree on the top 5 values going forward. This is a great bonding exercise and allows the group to identify their own values and beliefs instead of having a teacher and / or facilitator imposing them on them. This diagram can be printed out for ESOL learners who are studying the future tenses. It covers Present Continuous, Present Simple, Be going to and Will. The diagram demonstrates both useage and form and provides examples. The can be incorporated into a lesson or used on its own. It also has a handout for students to complete. They do this by writing their own sentences into the speech bubbles using the correct form. When I used it, I had a colour copy enlarged to A3 and also provided the learners with an A4 copy. They very much appreciated it.

This is a PP presentation that covers cause and effect and the use of a fishbone diagram to establish the root cause of a workplace issue or problem. The PP is interactive and has tasks for learners to complete. I have used this with many different organisation types and sizes and it is always very well received. This document contains common words that are found in Health and Safety documentation in the workplace that everyone should be familiar with. On the first page the word is listed with a plain English definition to the right. The next two pages contain cut outs so that a mix and match activity can take place with learners. This is suitable for those with low levels of literacy and / or English as a second language learners. I have put this into practice and it has been very well received within the workplace. I split the class into groups and they have a competition to see who can finish first and / or get 100% accuracy. Leads to good discussions as well.

This is a 20 slide powerpoint presentation that tackles the subject of Workplace Diversity. Our workplaces are made up of many different races, cultures and languages. This often creates communication problems that slow down production, cause misunderstandings and generally can create a divided workforce if issues are not addressed. This resource contains step by step instructions with screen shots to show how to convert a pdf file to a google document, so that it can be edited. Two methods are outlined. Method one converts directly from Drive and Method 2 involves downloading a google conversion app. The steps are not difficult, but the benefits and time saving of this feature is worthwhile. Note that this does not enable a perfect conversion. It won't work well with large documents that contain a lot of diagrams, tables, or graphics.
