There are two task cards to a page.
**The task is in two parts: **
• First students add up the coins/money in the first column and write the price of the item.
• The middle column shows the money used to pay for the item.
• Students work out the change using whichever method they are comfortable with and then write the change given in the last column.
The recording sheet can be used to write the date each card was completed.
Great for early finishers and/or you want to review money with your students.
You can laminate and cut out the cards or just stick some of the cards into workbooks you want your students to complete as an extension of your lesson.

This resource is on US currency - pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, half dollar and one dollar bill.
The worksheets are in color and black and white.
WITH ANSWER KEYS
Each of the four worksheets contain a variety of tasks for students to complete on the topic of buying school supplies/stationery.
Worksheet 1 - Students look at the pictures and price of each item and then work out how much two items of school supplies cost.
Two questions at the bottom: Which student spent the most? Which student spent the least amount of money?
Worksheet 2 - This worksheet is similar to the above except students are working out what 3 items of school supplies cost.
Worksheet 3 - Students answer 6 questions about the items, e.g. Which item is the most expensive? How much less do the crayons cost than the ruler? etc.
The next task is to write the new price for each item which has risen by 9c.
Worksheet 4 - The first task is to write the new price of the items which have risen by 20c. Second task - to add up 3 items of school supplies at the new price.
Worksheet 5 - Sale Now On! - Students recalculate the new price of each item because they have been reduced. (Subtraction).
Additional worksheets:
Drawing coins to match the price tags - Students use the fewest number of coins as many times as they can.
Add coins and write the total on the price tag for each item shown.
Challenge: Students add up all the prices on the tags and write the total amount of money spent.

Using the information on the frequency table, students are shown how to create a dot plot/line plot via Slide Show animation. Two detailed examples are shown.

The plan includes a lesson starter on adding two-digit numbers together. The method is adding the tens numbers first and then counting on the ones for quick mental addition. Presentation slides are referred to and there are suggested questions you might want to ask your students.
PowerPoint Presentation
The presentation explains a dot plot and then looks at two examples from capturing the raw data, presenting them in frequency tables, and then creating dot plots.

This resource contains a set of numbers 0 - 10 with 2D shapes in black and white.
If you are teaching numerals and counting and 2D shapes, here are some extra resources for your pupils to colour in and/or cut out and stick into their workbooks or on a separate sheet of paper.
The numbers are on whole pages in two sizes - A4 and 8.5 x 11".
Just print off
Content:
Numbers cards 1 to 10 containing 2D shapes
Clipart numerals 0 to 9
Suggested Uses:
Children colour in the shapes and the background; or
Colour in the shapes only and then cut around the number and stick into their workbooks.
You could cut out the numbers and stick into their workbooks or on a separate sheet of paper with handwriting guidelines for children to practise writing the number and then colour in.
After colouring in the number, children can draw objects representing that number.
2D Shapes: square, circle, triangle, oval, rectangle, diamond, star, heart, crescent, pentagon and trapezium.
Also included is a set of clipart numbers 0 to 9 (white and transparent). You can adjust the size of each numeral.
