You can print onto cardstock, laminate and cut out the cards for students to practice adding up coin values. Ideal for early finishers and for those students who need more practice in adding up coins.

You may wish to record students’ work and so this resource is great for cutting out and sticking into workbooks or onto plain paper. Pupils do not have to work through the task cards in number order. Whatever ability the student is at, you can choose the appropriate task card.

Two dice are shown – students write number sentences by looking at the number of apples on each dice. The first sum is completed as an example.

This resource relates to statistics on the topic of dot plots. It introduces dot plots on PowerPoint (12 Slides). The presentation demonstrates how the data was collected, rearranging data in numerical order, and presenting the data on a frequency table. Using the information on the frequency table, students are shown how to create a dot plot/line plot via Slide Show animation. Two detailed examples are shown.

Flexible Lesson Plan (4 pgs)
The plan includes a lesson starter on adding two-digit numbers together. The method is adding the tens numbers first and then counting on the ones for quick mental addition. (If you wish, you can choose your own mental starters). Also includes lesson objectives, main activities on dot plots and recap session. Presentation slides are referred to and there are suggested questions you might want to ask your students.
PowerPoint Presentation
The presentation explains a dot plot and then looks at two examples from capturing the raw data, presenting them in frequency tables, and then creating dot plots.
Case study 1: Students are shown how Mr Smith creates a dot plot from data how long it takes his staff to travel to school.
Case study 2: Students are shown how Miss Tucker creates a dot plot to see how many siblings each of her students have.

Page 1 - Students read a very short paragraph in order to insert the information in a frequency table and then they create a dot plot.

<strong>Lesson 2</strong> - You will need the coin sheets or you can use plastic euro money. Students draw or use the laminated coins to work out different combination of coins that equal €1. Challenge: Different combination of coins that equal two euros. E.g. 50c + 20c + 20c + 10c = €1
<strong>Lesson 3</strong> - Two-part money activity Worksheets (x2).
Section A - students complete the table; Section B - students complete the addition sums.
<strong>Lesson 4</strong> - 2 Giving change activity.
Students in groups at their table. Students take turns to pick a €1 coin card and a price label. The rest of the students in the group work out the change.
Challenge: Working out change from €2. Students choose one of the yellow price labels.

This resource pack contains a blank weather, date and year display poster to be completed each day using the changeable days, date, month, weather card displays.
The words in shadow show where the laminated day, date, month and year should go.
There is space for the weather conditions on the same blank display.
The preview window shows how the display will appear when you complete the blank display poster.
You can also change the weather button background if you don’t want plain white - click on, e.g. the ‘hot’ weather button, go to Drawing Tools then Shape Fill to choose your colour.
Print off displays onto card paper - enlarge to A3 if wish for a larger display.
I printed off onto coloured card paper.

Seasons dial - laminate and cut round. Cut out the dial and insert with split pin in the centre - see preview window front page.
Laminate all the resources. Use Blu tac , double-sided sticky tape or velcro for the changeable words to be displayed on blank display board.
