This product relates to telling the time on analogue and digital clocks. This resource is on Australian currency - 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c and $1.00 coins Aimed at: Keystage 1/2 The worksheets are in colour and black and white. WITH ANSWER SHEETS Each of the four worksheets contain a variety of tasks for students to complete on the topic of buying school stationery. Worksheet 1 - Students look at the pictures and price of each item and then work out how much two items of school supplies cost. Two questions at the bottom: Which student spent the most? Which student spent the least amount of money? Worksheet 2 - This worksheet is similar to the above except students are working out what 3 items of school stationery cost. Worksheet 3 - Students answer 6 questions about the items, e.g. Which item is the most expensive? Children look at the picture and say what it is. They then unscramble the word in the centre and write it out correctly using phonemes previously taught. This resource relates to matching a mixture of CVC words to pictures. Learning aims: To read and match CVC words to pictures by segmenting and blending. There are two parts to this resource: 1. Play as a game to practise blending and segmenting; 2. For the teacher to assess children's progress in reading CVC words. This product contains: - Teachers' Notes on suggested activities - 8 phonic CVC Phonic Boards 1 to 8 containing clipart pictures - 72 word cards - 24 alien words/pseudo-words - 8 Phonic CVC Screening Check Sheets The boards are colour-coded with the word cards. On each board there are 9 cvc pictures and 3 alien pictures. There are 9 real word cards and 3 alien/pseudo-words for each picture board. Learn to read consonant, vowel, consonant(cvc) words via games - children choose any board number (Board 1 to Board 8) which are colour-coded with the word cards, e.g. Board 1 (yellow) with yellow word cards. H/she chooses a board and read the word on the card and cover the picture that matches the word. The alien pictures can be covered with any of the pseudo-word cards. Children can play in twos/threes - choose the colour of their boards and word cards. Shuffle the set of word cards and lay them face down on the table. They take turns turning over a card. If a card matches their board colour, s/he reads the word and covers the picture for that word. If the colour does not match or s/he cannot read the word, the word card is put back face down on the table. Aimed at: Reception/Year 1 If you operate a carousel system in your class, you can place the different activities on the tables for children to practise number work/patterns. Content and Description Includes Teacher Notes • Counting in ones missing number sequence worksheet – Children complete sequence by writing the missing numbers in the heart. • Number bonds to 10 and 20 - x2 sets of worksheets – this is a cut and stick activity. You can do this activity as a whole class. Hand out whiteboards and dry erase pens. Ask students to work out the first subtraction sum. Ask what did they do first? How did they write the taking away sum? PowerPoint Demonstration (6 Slides) on how to do the task cards This presentation shows students how to go about writing and working out the subtraction sums. There are 6 slides which show step-by-step how to use the task cards. Before you show the next stage, you could ask students ‘What do you do next?’ before showing the next step. Ask the students to count the counters/dots as they appear in the animation. Ask students how many counters are crossed when the animation has crossed through the counters/dots. Get the students to say how many counters are left before revealing the answer. 55 Subtraction Task Cards (PDF) Print out the task cards and laminate. These can be used in small group sessions or as part of a whole lesson. After showing the demo on how to use the task cards, students can practise writing taking sums. Make it clear to the students that they must count all the counters on the tens frame, the big number, and write this down. Then count the counters with the crosses which shows they have been taken away. You could even cover up the counters with crosses with a blank sheet of paper show demonstrate they have been taken away. Students look for the words in the grid to shade or cross through. They also look for a hidden shape word. A picture of the shape is shown. <strong>Differentiated - Label 2D and 3D Shape Mix Worksheets</strong> Students label the shapes. One worksheet contains a word box. <strong>Identifying and drawing 2D flat faces on 3D shapes</strong> Students say the 3D shape aloud and then identify the 2D shape that is shaded on the solid. Next, students draw/sketch the 2D shape.
