¿Qué deportes practicas?
Lesson aimed at top set Y8 pupils to introduce sports whilst recapping key verbs in the present tense with accompanying worksheet.
Viva 3 Rojo - Module 4 - Jovenes en acción - mis derechos

Listening (activity 3 pg78) - challenge: translate the sentences into English
Reading (activity 6 pg79) - challenge: make the false statements true

Create: Placard for a peaceful protest around children’s rights
A few other activities in the text book that could be used to pad out the lesson and get in some additional practice. This was aimed at a top set Y9 class so some more structure may need to be added for lower sets - writing frames, speaking grids, amended translations etc.

Powerpoint on daily routine (morning). Also re-caps times and using connectives. Opportunities for listening activity as well as mini-whiteboard game.

Introductory lesson on free time activities in German. Opportunities for group activities as well as listening task. Kagan structure used to consolidate learning.

Lesson on descriptions (hair and eyes) in French. Includes quiz and worksheet for consolidation.
L'argent de poche - WORKSHEET POCKET MONEY
Worksheet to compliment lesson of same title. Pupils complete the tbale with the French phrases using the first letter of each word as a clue: JFDB = je fais du babysitting etc. They then have two questions to answer - tu as combien d'argent de poche? Que fais tu pour gagner de l'argent.

Lesson to look at how to use AIMER to talk about what you like to do. Plenty of opportunities for group work and paired activities. Also looks at how to talk about someone else using the third person singular.
Ou habites-tu? - LESSON
Lesson to introduce talking about where you live. Also looks at types of accomodation. Lots of repetition for re-inforcement and goes over sentence structure.
Objetos Perdidos - LOST PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Compliments lesson of same title - task 4. Pictures and info about lost property. Pupils must write a description of the lost item in Spanish then read to the rest of the class who have to guess what it is. Works well as a group task.
Cuánto cuesta? - LESSON NUMBERS / PRICES
Lesson to compliment unit on food and drink which revises high numbers and looks at prices. Lot of mini-whiteboard activities as well as a game of SPLAT - two pupils come to the board, a number appears and the first one to 'splat' the corresponding number in digits wins...works well boys v girls.
Qu'est-ce que tu portes au college - LESSON
Powerpoint lesson to introduce items of clothing to talk about what pupils wear to school but could be adapted to look at clothes in general. Also looks at agreement of adjectives (colours).

KS3 German powerpoint to introduce hair and eyes. Includes whiteboard activities and opportunities for speaking practice.
En El Mercado - LESSON
Lesson to compliment topic of food and drink. Looks at shopping for items at a market. Includes survey, translation activities to re-inforce sentence structure, listening activity (Mira book) and role play scenario.
Les Couleurs - fiche de travail
A low-ability worksheet for colours. Pupils put the colours into English then colour in the pictures.
Controlled Assessment - Travel & Tourism
Edexcel C.A. material (speaking and writing) on the topic of travel and tourism. Tasks have previously been approved by an Edexcel advisor for my centre but it would be advisable to get them approved yourself if using as official C.A. Would also be a good practice task.
Mein Hause - LESSON
Lesson about where you live designed to follow on from countries. Looks at different types of accomodation as well as places such as on the coast. Plenty of group activities as well as writing tasks.
