The Siemens Insight Programme (SIP) is a self-driven, self-learning programme that allows students to explore the world of Siemens, Engineering and Technology, as well as developing core skills such as communication, problem solving and creativity. Packed full of fun activities, media and quizzes, the Siemens Insight Programme is fantastic for KS4 students who want to learn more about engingeering and undertake an independent project. SIP is made up of 8 modules, each set out in a downloadable powerpoint presentation. Work through these modules and record your efforts in the SIP Student Portfolio, which can be completed online or printed off.

This interactive PDF has been developed by Siemens for the use of work experience providers both within Siemens and wider industry employers. It aims to help ensure work experience is meaningful and beneficial for all involved. The guide includes: project ideas, student activities and general information enabling employers to provide best practice. This version was created in partnership with Developing the Young Workforce Scotland and connects to Scotland’s Youth Employment Strategy, Scotland’s Work Placement Standards and Scotland’s skills model – Meta-Skills, whilst demonstrating connections to the Work Placement unit qualifications young people may complete.
