This presentation contains information on the fetch decode execute cycle. It starts off with an analogy and then proceeds to explain the cycle in layman’s terms so any student can understand it. Follows a technical explanation, introducing the program counter, accumulator, MBR, CIR and MAR. I have also included some questions at the end to check that students have a firm understanding of the process. Additionally I've added some fun activities to the presentation; a matching up activity and some anagrams containing all of the main keywords for them to unscramble. These make great lesson starters. Brilliant game based on classic who wants to be a millionaire. Has realistic sound effects, & I recommend using as 50/50, ask the audience and phone a friend to make it more fun & interactive . Adapted for students studying Key Stage three science (Physics). Multiple choice. The questions get more challenging as the students near the one million pound question. I’ve also included a couple of screenshots to give you a feel of how it is in action. Makes a great supply lesson, whole lesson, levelled task or whole class activity.
