I am a science teacher passionate about teaching Earth Science, Geology, Geography and Oceanography and sharing my science material/products to a wider audience. My main focus is middle and high school, but since ability levels and needs vary widely, materials found in my shop may be useful to students from other grade levels. I am also selling my educational resources on TpT website but under a different name, so in case you see the same resources there, it doesn't mean that they were copied.

Tarsia Puzzle: AFRICA & CAPITALS (2 Puzzles)

(0)
Tarsia Puzzle: AFRICAN COUNTRIES AND CAPITALS (2 Puzzles) In this activity, students will practicematching all 54 African countries with their capitals, as they piece together the pieces of each tarsia puzzle. Students will match their answers with a separate puzzle piece until all the countries have ‘found’ their capital and the puzzle is completed. These GEOGRAPHY TARSIA PUZZLES are a FUN way for students to practice their multiplication facts that doesn’t involve a worksheet. The puzzle activity works well for individuals, as well as small groups. Alternatively, you can set up stations around the room, and have students or groups rotate to each station for a new math puzzle/game. This resource includes: 2 different tarsia puzzles; one with 30 countries/capitals and the another one with 24 countries/capitals 2 answer keys Teacher directions List of Countries Included: Algeria,Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Ivory Coast, Dem. Rep. of the Congo, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Suggestions for using this resource: Print multiple copies of each tarsia puzzle and place the pieces in separate plastic bags for safekeeping. Print the puzzles on colored paper if you find the black and white version too “dull”. Print the puzzles on large sized paper, if you want the pieces to be extra large. Laminate the puzzle pieces BEFORE your students cut them out. It will allow you to use them for years to come. Code the backside of each puzzle piece, so it is easier to find which plastic bag they belong to in case they get mixed up with other pieces. Be sure to follow my TES store and don’t forget to leave feedback if you liked my product! Happy Teaching
