AQA Synergy combined science GCSE ,(8465) required practical and skills PLC: The Synergy content broken down into 'can do' statements. Teachers can RAG rate student progress to highlight strengths and weaknesses on this already formatted spreadsheet. All you have to do is put a number in and it will change colour automatically, saving you time and effort. Included is 3x required practical booklet for the biology, physics and chemistry required practical and a general scientific skills PLC tracker. PLC trackers are included for the synergy required practicals, building blocks, transport over large distances, interactions with the environment, explaining change, building blocks for understanding, interactions, movement, guiding spaceship Earth and key skill areas, Each section has coloured coded outcomes to differentiate biology, chemistry and physics. Students cut out and colour the layers of the sun. Write the name of the layer/zone and then use the table to research information about it. Activity can be used to self assess knowledge, peer assess each other and then write the energy transfers down on the worksheet. Extension activity is to draw Sankey diagrams.

The resource is idea and means every student can have a fully wired plug in their books. A student worksheet with extended answer questions is also included along with a teacher answer sheet. A two page sheet containing calculations for charge, current, voltage is added to support mains electricity topics along with a answer powerpoint that goes through each question and explains how they should be completed. This contains foundation and A* style calculations. The resource could be used over 3 lessons for it to be fully completed.

A resource that should be printed back to back (on long edge) and cut out and folded. The circuit names are already printed on the resource and it allows students to research either in a lesson for a homework the symbols. The tabs all neatly fold over in the book, making the key terms stand out. There is also space for teachers/students to add an extra one when and if required.
