THIS BIG BUNDLE CONTAINS THE INTRODUCTION TO JESUS LESSON BUNDLE, IN ADDITION TO THE KNOWLEDGE ORGANISER! This series of interesting and engaging lessons aims to equip children with a solid foundation understanding of the life and significance of Jesus Christ. The lessons offer a broad outline of the events in his life, focusing more heavily on two particularly important moments (his baptism and the last week of his life). The bundle contains the following lessons: His Significance Key Events in His Life Representations of Jesus Jesus’ Baptism The Easter Story In each lesson, the learning is guided by a clear and colourful PowerPoint presentation, which guides students through logical, step-by-step activities. There are also clear hyperlinks for the video resources, and engaging, well-structured worksheets for the activities. In the past, I have used these lessons with children from across Key Stage 2 - the key learning is aligned with curriculum expectations for RE, and also the content prescribed by most diocese regions. All images are licensed for commercial use.

These whole class reading sessions aim to develop children’s comprehension of several extracts from Roald Dahl texts. There are ten sessions included in total - one session each for the following Roald Dahl texts: -The Witches; -Esio Trot; -George’s Marvellous Medicine; -The Twits; -The Magic Finger; -James and the Giant Peach; -The Enormous Crocodile; -Danny, the Champion of the World -The BFG -Matilda Each presentation contains a link to the relevant online chapters (on the first slide). This is followed by a series of activities aiming to develop children’s retrieval, explanation, inference, prediction and summarising skills. It also contains a vocabulary check immediately after the extract is read to clarify any unfamiliar/ difficult language. The tasks are comprised of quick-check questions, solo thinking, pair/ group discussions and deeper thinking activities. The sessions are best suited for children in years 2-3, although with minor adaptations it could feasibly be used with slightly younger and older year groups. This style of whole class reading, in which you are able to dip into a different text each day, is great for broadening the number of texts that children are exposed to and increasing their enthusiasm for reading.
