Using inverse to solve problems. This is a lesson where children are “Thinking of a number” and they have to find the answer using inverse )all 4 operations. Is targeted to year 3 however can be adapted to year 4.

A whole school Moral Assembly on the story Lion and the mouse. Morals are: Little people can do great things, make the right choise and you will be rewarded and a friend in need is a friend indeed.

A unit of work, aimed at year 4 to and plan and write a Big Write.
The children really loved writing this, some very creative pieces were written.
Could be taught over 3 or more days.
By the end of the week, the children will make up a ‘tall tale’ to apologise for something.

A planning and writing set of lessons aimed at year 3 (could be easily tweaked for KS2) for extended/Big Write. Chn plan a diary entry in the day of a Stone Age child. Includes notebook, WAGOLL (What a good one looks like) writing frames for planning. On the day I edited the plan depending on their ideas for further scaffold.
A Big Write/creative writing, linked to the Romans (Year 4 topic), although you don’t really need to have done too much on the topic.
The unit of work includes:
Notebook - The first few slides are SPAG, covering powerful verbs. The rest are planning your poem using your 5 senses.
WAGOLL - A Roman poem using the 5 senses
Success Criteria - Differentiated 3 ways and gets progressively harder.
