An excellent practical Maths lesson!
Measure and record wrist, ankle and head circumference measurements - I’ve attached 2 types of record sheets ,… just choose your favourite one!
Also attached is a graph to plot the results of each body area (wrist, ankle & head), The graph allows for 17 children’s names … you could get half the class to show the results from the girls and half the class to show the results from the boys (or just split the class in half). More than enough space to compare measurements.
You will need string/measuring tapes and rulers for this lesson.

Science Investigation - Testing the Strength of PAPER
This science investigation requires the children to test the strength of 4 different types of paper including:
Plain paper.
Newspaper.
Paper towel.
Toilet paper.
You will need to prepare the 4 different types of paper and cut them into thin strips of equal length (10cm long 0.5cm wide).
Get the children to stick each type of paper onto the edge of their table and keep adding 10g weights (using a hook mass) until the paper snaps.
