3 hours worth of content!
This is a ‘Grab & Go’ Lesson-Zero prep Required and is designed to get pupils thinking about the existence of God through the Ontological Theory.
Included: PowerPoint (53 slides) & Work booklet (10 pages)
This lesson slots into any year 9 SoW or can be used alongside our GCSE resources designed for the new specification. (This is lesson 5 in the range).
This can either be a fast paced 60 minutes or span two lessons. Giving pupils the initial lesson to research and plan and then the second lesson as a P4C lesson to thoroughly debate this topic.
It is a fully resourced lesson with PowerPoint and worksheets with a card sort sheet that can either be printed and pupils can cut the information out to stick in their books or you can laminate the cards for group tasks. There is also a help sheet included on how to come up with a convincing argument.
Homework: Pupils have to research famous Theist, Atheist and Agnostics and their principles along with some very important religious vocabulary.
The aim is for pupils to come up with plausible arguments whether there is or is not a God (using the Ontological Theory as evidence) and to present this in a group discussion.
Energy Transfer
This is a lesson teaching pupils the different types of energy transfer and the conservation of energy.
It is suggested that you include a practical such as the screaming jelly baby or the custard powder with Bunsen burner experiment. A you tube link for both of these is included within the energy transfer PPT should you wish to show the pupils without conducting the experiment yourself.

Christmas: Elfish Behaviour-o-meter & Advent Reward Chart
Great for the weeks leading up to the Christmas holidays!
This includes a number ofgreat resources.
A visual PowerPoint display that you can use with your classes for behaviour management.

Physics: Measuring Force, Newton Meters.
This is a practical lesson introducing pupils to Newton meters.
Physics: Measuring Force, Newton Meters Lesson pack contains: A PPT (15 slides) and a peer assessment handout (1 sheet).
Activities include:
Starter Task: A Thinking Skills questions- measuring force.
Task 1: Pupils are introduced to Sir Isaac Newton and his invention, the Newton Meter. Then pupils are asked to measure everyday items and record this information in the form of a table in their exercise books.
Task 2: Pupils should then be given a spring and a hook and 5 weights (1-5 kilograms). They will need to hang the spring and add the weights one by one and measure the length of the spring each time a weight is added and record the data in the form of a table. They will then be asked to plot a line graph (you will need to provide graph paper for this task).
Task 3: Pupils will need to conclude on the results and describe the relationship between weights added and the length of the spring and link this to how a Newton meter works.
Included in this pack is a peer assessment sheet that can be used to mark the individual activities.

This is a fun countdown timer that can be used as a time management tool in any lesson. You have a choice between a 4, 3 or 2 minute, 80, 60 or 30 second timer.
The bubbles can easily be altered in the animation pane to make the timer shorter or longer should you so wish.

Science - Bunsen Burner
This is an introductory lesson on the Bunsen burner. Pupils will have the opportunity to use a bunsen burner and if successful gain a certificate and a Bunsen Burner License.
This Bunsen burner pack contains PPT: 17 Sides Work Booklet: 8 Pages
Pupils will be taught about the history of the Bunsen burner. There is an opportunity for the teacher to model how to set up the bunsen burner. They will then have to create a flowchart on setting up a Bunsen burner. Once this is complete, pupils will take it in turns to peer assess each other on accuracy and safety.
Included in this pack are A4 certificates and credit card size bunsen burner licenses.
The exit task is based on our interactive 5W activity. The 5w selector will select one of the 5ws (who, what, where, when or why) and the teacher should pose questions based on this selection about the Bunsen Burner. Pupils can fill in the 5w sheet as the plenary/exit task progresses.

Jesus Death Interactive Guide
This is an interactive guide surrounding some of the key concepts used to explain the reasons for Jesus’ sacrifice.
Pupils will have use of a poem, Biblical quotes and these key terms to discuss, analyse and select the most relevant information relating to the beliefs about death in Christianity. They will then be tasked with answering an exam style question: “Explain why the death of Jesus is important? (4)”
This is a zero prep 2 hour long lesson on Euthanasia. Pupils have lots of opportunities to discuss their own opinions. There are two video clip links one is of a documentary and the other is of the Suicide Machine.
Pupils will have the opportunity to research the religion or religions of your choice.
