This resources can be printed as a sticker for your teacher planner or made into a handy bookmark. It has question examples, linked to the levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy. It is designed to help teachers have a more considered approach to questioning within the classroom to stretch and challenge all abilities. This resource is fully editable to be subject specific where necessary.

This template is easily editable and shows what skills students need to use throughout each stage of the lesson. It also auto-updates to always show the current date and there is space for you to have your learning objective/WALT on display at all times. Finally, each section of the PowerPoint has space for a challenge task to stretch students as well as an area to display key vocabulary for the lesson.

Using the Edexcel command words, one side of the A4 mat explains what each question is requiring you to do. The other side of the mat has writing frames for 6, 9 and 12 mark GCSE questions. TIP FOR USING THEM: I usually allow students to use these mats for every assessment during the first term of the course. By this time, they have usually built their confidence up and then use the second term to reduce use (only for 9 and 12, and then just for 12 mark questions). This method has been successful so far but please leave a review with other ways to use them, in order to help others.
