A simple booklet template for planning a Burns Night Supper. You could use this Booklet as a maths resources and have the children collage a meal from Aldi or Lidl magazines and total the prices. It could be used on iPads and have the children digitally create a menu by inserting images and typing over the PDF. It could also be used as a writing resource as children use descriptive language to write a Burns Night Supper Menu. Examples can be found on my instagram account @TeachingInTechnicolour. A fun an interactive way for children to assess themselves or each other. Children can be prompted to think about questions they could be asked in a text conversation to enable them to share their learning in a deeper way. Taking on the role of the asker and answerer needs the children to think of both sides of coin - learning and sharing the learning.

What do you love about yours? How do you want your classroom to feel? Important questions to ask on your first week back to school with your new learners. This is a perfect resource to use at the start of a new school year to establish what kind of teacher you want to be for your children. Using YouTube clips of Miss Honey and Miss Trunchbull, get the children to think about their teaching and nurturing styles.
