My name is Wendy Hobbs and I am an artist who has spent several years working as an HLTA. I was responsible for the art provision across the whole school, covering the full primary range, working closely with teachers to provide PPA cover to blend with their teaching. I am currently home educating my Yr6 child and many of the worksheets have been developed as part of the work we are doing. Are there any that would enhance your school or home classroom experience?

They will need to engage many skills including, measuring, analysis, construction techniques and annotation. The resource includes: PowerPoint presentation introducing the task. Looking at Design criteria and the steps students need to complete within the design process. It is a guide and starter for class discussion, specifically related to the activity. PDF of PowerPoint slides which can be used as a handout or card set to remind students of the process the activity follows, handy if groups working at different speeds. PDF of teachers notes relating to the PowerPoint slides. These notes are also on the PPT itself. PDF of design worksheets. 3 worksheets, one each for recording, research, design and assessment.
