Containing a range of resources to enable pupils to flip learn prior to lessons, it is designed to present a more engaging way of picking up subject knowledge than a traditional reading this. However, of the 40 or so resources, articles do account for over 50% of the material and these have be edited to a high quality.
This resource has been used to great effect over the past two years within my department and can easily be set as homework
Students are asked the to undertake the following:
Task Outline - For each article; photo; clip or documentary you must complete the following:
Complete a glossary with definitions.
Summarize the resource in less than 100 words (try to include your whole glossary).
Complete a flashcard that represents this learning (these will be used next year, so they are an investment).
Optional - Create and answer an exam question for this resource.

Geography: Can the World Ever Feed the 9 Billion? (Food Security/Insecurity; Kenya; Africa; Develop)
This unit is created in line with my personal passion for sustainability and East African culture. Whist this unit is framed around the challenges of feeding the world ever growing population, it really focus on food productivity in an area of the world where population is set to double by 2050. This unit has also been designed to challenge stereotypes and deconstruct complex concepts for learners.
This Unit is my favorite to deliver and and been stream lined over the last two years. Central to the teaching and learning of the unit are both retrieval technique and duel coding. It also looks at data presentation and oracy skill within Geography.

Geography Marking and Feedback Policy
This marking policy is designed to allow students to make as much academic progress as possible. It looks to encourage teachers work smarter not hard, and so allows them to make their marking as meaningful as possible, whilst trying to ensure that marking does not become overbearing. Geography: Will China ever become the ultimate superpower? (Geopolitics; migration; population)
This unit is created in line with my personal passion for Geo-politics and Chinese economics. Whist this unit is framed around the varying challenges that may limit China’s ascent to true superpower status it also looks at its opportunities, strengths, and weakness.

This unit is created in line with my personal passion for tectonic hazards. This unit is framed opportunity and threats to Africa’s future development, and the process and systems within them. A conscience effect has also been made to embed dual coding within this SoW, as well as much differentiation and debating.

Knowledge Organiser - Hazardous Earth - Tectonic Hazards - Edexcel B - Geography
A knowledge organiser is a document, usually no more than two sides of A4, that contains key facts and information that children need to have a basic knowledge and understanding of a topic. Most knowledge organisers will include: the essential facts about the topic, usually laid out in easily digestible chunks.
