This starter activity is to practise personality words. In pairs, students point at an adjective on the sheet and then give a sentence about someone they know, changing the adjective ending where necessary.

Not just food and drink, but quantities in general. A simple set of a few phrases, some of which make sense and some of which do not. Then students can make their own phrases for their partner.

This is a list of quotes from famous and successful people in history who failed their way to the top. I have this on display in my classroom and regularly refer to it when encouraging learning from mistakes.

Get pupils to stick these tables into their books for reference. Definite and indefinite pronouns and their cases (masculine, feminine, neuter and plural + nominative, accusative, genitive and dative).

The idea of this activity is for the pupils to give the four French paintings their own titles. It’s amazing what they come up with! I would advise you give them dictionaries. Ideal as a starter for a dictionary skills lesson.
