Made during the 2020 lockdown for remote learning it is a pretty comprehensive resource (if I may say so) that covers the whole topic and includes:
18 tailor made teacher videos
18 factsheets on the 18 key topics
18 literacy/essay writing challenges* (1 per key topic)
5 Google Quizzes (and printable versions)
1 Stretch and Challenge Project
It took a very long time to produce and I am very happy to now be able to share it I would suggest setting it as an ongoing revision or homework task, the teacher videos mean that it can be used for self study also.
The target audience was mostly for international school settings so I have tried to use accessible language where possible and each topic comes with a set of keywords to develop vocab skills.
If you spot any mistakes please contact me via the website above and if you think it has come in useful I would love to see your reviews on the TES (makes me feel a bit better!)
Hope it helps!
As a man with a great beard once (sort of) said: Teachers of the world unite, you have nothing to lose but your chains.
*The essay writing questions are loosely based on Edexcel IGCSE style questions but the approach taken is quite generic so will suit all exam boards/national systems.

Black Lives Matter: Why I am No Longer Talking To White People About Race by Reni Eddo-Lodge.
This lesson takes the key themes of the book ‘Why I am No Longer Talking To White People About Race by Reni Eddo-Lodge’ and attempts to distill them into a format ready for a class room discussion. Ideal for discussions on race during a tutor period or at the end of a unit of work that features discussion on race.
It is broken into the following stages:
Intro to the author and initial mind mapping.
A look at the history of black people, and their contribution, to British society.
A discussion of how these historic experiences have created systemic racism – this is the crucial element of the lesson, to explain to students that being ‘colour blind’ can cause its own problems by neglecting to engage with the realities of black people.
What is ‘white privilege’ and what could be done to stop it? A look at the NFL’s “Rooney Rule”.
PEE paragraph on the Rooney Rule.
Ending thoughts and development of mind maps.
Extension task: Read Eddo-Lodge’s article.
EAL Task: Keyword focus sheet
I do not for a second pretend to be an expert in these matters but this is my attempt to introduce the discussion of systemic racism into my classroom. I hope it can be of some use to you in your classrooms too.
If you feel I have said something wrong or phrased something insensitively please contact me at thomas@wolseyacademy.com and we can make corrections together.

A lesson from the Scheme of Work for ICT EDEXCEL: IGCSE Unit 5 Applying ICT
The lesson includes:
A range of revision activities
23 FLASH CARDS for the topic
Access to a bespoke Unit 5 revision test (online).
This lesson was made during the Covid19 lockdown and therefore is geared for distance learning with every lesson including an instructional video by the classroom teacher (me). Therefore, it is probably best used ‘out of the box’ as a series of homework tasks (it’s only a small unit compared to some of the others). However, I have put the ‘in class’ activities (like Quiz, Quiz, Trade or group activities) in the ‘resources section’ at the end of the PowerPoint so each lesson serves a dual purpose – it can easily be used as an out of the box self-study/homework resource or can quickly be edited for use in classroom by dragging those activities out of the resources section and back into the main part of the lesson.
The entire Module 5 SOW includes 7 lessons in all that cover the entire of module 5 for EDEXCEL ICT IGCSE exam
Correct use of software types
Types of Data
Software purpose, part A
Software purpose, part B
Checking tools
Software evaluation
End of unit Revision: A range of activities, all 23 key word flash cards & a self-marking online test.
This module and modules 4 & 6 are in a totally new style to the previous Wolsey Academy ICT IGCSE module lessons (modules 1- 3) and, as you can see, include a wider range of activities and are presented in a much clearer and colourful way for ease of use.

A second mini-practical takes place.
Peer and self assessment again with a reflection on progress.
Differentiation is provided throughout with hints and challenge activities.
To keep timing and pace it also includes embedded timers for each part of mini-mock.
Includes all the files required for the two practical exams (cinema scenario and then an ‘events arena’ scenario).
