From helping children understand wriggling pythons as a zoo education officer (dream job!), to using historical objects as keys to unlock our past, my teaching experience has been far from typical. et your class a 7-day kindness challenge with this ‘fill a bucket with kindness’ activity. This activity is a fun addition to a kindness week, month, or lesson, and will get your pupils thinking about why kindness is important, and how to show it to others. By the end of the week, they’ll be certified bucket fillers! The activity Print a kindness bucket template for each child. Each stripe on their bucket represents a day of the week. For each of the next 7 days, they will try to complete an act of kindness. For each one, they can colour in a stripe on their bucket (starting at the bottom), and write what they did. By the end of the week, they will have a rainbow-striped bucket of kindness, ideal for creating a whole class display. A fun and simple Christmas craft activity for kids to do in the lead-up to the holidays. Print a Christmas cracker card template on white card. Children can then colour, cut, glue, and fold. Once completed, cards can be given to a friend, relative, or teacher. There are 4 similar templates to pick from (plain, spotty, wavy stripes, and zig-zag stripes). The finished cards are around 26cm across when folded. Please note, the PDF is not editable. Full instructions are included, as well as template versions formatted for UK (A4) and US (letter-size) paper sizes. For those that don’t celebrate Christmas, the templates are repeated with the greeting ‘Happy Holidays’.

A fun and simple science activity all about the life cycle of a penguin. This foldable cut-and-paste resource could be used to support a lesson on birds, the Antarctic, or emperor penguins, or use as a winter/festive craft. Sequence the process of making jam and butter toast with this foldable sequencing/matching activity. This cut-and-paste resource encourages fine motor skills and is a fun alternative to a worksheet. There are 5 template options to allow for differentiation: Template 1: Children colour the template, cut around the outside, and fold. Template 2: Colour, cut out the word labels, match and fold. Template 3: Colour, cut out the stages, sequence, and fold. Template 4: Larger version. Colour, cut out the stages, sequence, and fold. Template 5: As above but with a straight cutting edge around the toaster. Instructions for pupils and a picture to show how to fold is also included. Please note that it is not possible to edit this product. A US version is included that uses the word ‘jelly’ instead of ‘jam’.

A cute 3D flower pot card craft that children can use to say thank you to someone special in their life. Ideal for mothers or fathers day, grandparents, as a teacher gift, or for another significant individual in their life. This 5 page resource contains a template and instructions. The message on the flower pot is ‘thank you for helping me grow’. In addition to a template, pupils will need: Coloured pens/pencils Pipe cleaners, scissors Tape Googly eyes The side tabs that help the card to stand up have space to write the name of the recipient and who the card is from. The template has 2 flowers for students to color and cut out. There is also an option to add a flower with a photo inside - a PowerPoint template, as well as a Canva template link, are included for this. It is not essential to add a photo - the card looks great without it so don’t worry if this is not an option for you.

Help your KS2 or lower KS3 students reflect on their past year and the new year ahead with this tab book template. The template has 7 prompts (each starting with a letter from NEW YEAR) for students to respond to. What’s included?
