Pupils explore the five welfare needs of pets and how they relate to responsible pet ownership. With fun, interactive group activities and discussions, this workshop empowers pupils to make a difference to pets in their local communities. This session focuses on small pets. This is a pre recorded presentation led by an experienced educator from Woodgreen. Don’t expect to be sitting down for long though, there’s plenty of opportunity to get moving around and interact with the fun activities. Learning objectives: Pupils can name and describe the five welfare needs for a pet Pupils can describe how an animal is feeling in different situations Pupils can describe how Woodgreen helps people and pets SMSC links: Pupils have a sense of enjoyment and fascination in learning about others and the world around them Pupils understand the consequences of their behaviour and actions on the welfare of their pet BV links: Pupils understand how they can contribute positively to society Suggested ages: KS2
