Easter Literacy and Logic Sudoku comes with 6 puzzles with an Easter theme which are suitable for children in the 2nd or 3rd grade. Easter Secret Word Sudoku The first four puzzles in this package are secret word sudoku puzzles. Your students can work independently to discover the Easter-themed secret word in each puzzle. First, students should cut out the squares at the bottom of the worksheet. Next, using logic, they can paste the Easter items into the Sudoku puzzle. There should only be one of each symbol per row and per column, and one of each symbol per bolded square (constituting a quadrant of the puzzle). The highlighted column or row will spell out the secret word that they can then enter in the blanks. USA Math Goofy Glyph is an activity where students can hone their abilities in mathematics while putting together a fun art project that you can showcase on your classroom wall. Whether your students answer the questions right or wrong will dictate the way their glyphs look in this potentially silly glyph. They will end up making either Uncle Sam, Aunt Sam, or if they make a mistake, they might end up with Uncle Ram. The math problems are designed for children in third grade and are aligned with the Common Core standards. Common Core standards covered: 3.OA.7 - adding and subtracting within 1000 3.NBT.2 - multiplying within 100 At the back of this booklet are templates that your students can use to help design their glyphs; otherwise, they can choose to create their own artwork. Also, at the back of a book is a graph that you can use to visually see how the students all view different questions from the glyph. Back to School Icebreaker: All About Me Fun Frames Writing Activity will get your students writing details about themselves on a fun printable, and participating in discussions with other students. There are five printables included with this packet: The first two printables include All About Me questions. There is a template for a girl and a template for a boy. Students can answer the questions and color in the printables as they wish. You can then display the printables your students have created on the classroom wall. The second two printables are frames-only pages with the labels removed that you can use to enter your own questions for your students to answer. Students can color in the printables when they have finished answering the questions you supply them. The final printable is a coloring page based on the question-and-answer printables. This page is available if you want to give students a fun coloring activity without having them use their question-and-answer printables.
