Feelings: We have many feelings in common, some are good and some are bad. However, the difference lies in what we do with them. We must teach our kids to accept those feelings and to learn how to manage them well. We need to tell our kids that these feelings are shared and also that we must devise reasonable ways to cope with them.
In this poster set there are 12 colored Feelings posters and 12 black and white posters all sized 8.5 x 11 for elementary classrooms. That is a total of 24 posters. These posters show kids who share common feelings and emotions using various facial expressions and body positioning. They are aptly named :-
-Angry Ana
-Confused Connie
-Content Contessa
-Embarrassed Emma
-Excited Exodus
-Proud Preston
-Shy Shane
-Happy Harry
-Sad Sam
-Scared Scout
-Shocked Sheldon
-Worried Wilma
In this set you also get 12 Feeling Shuffle Cards that stimulate small group discussions. I also created a mini book that goes along with the characters entitled ‘My Feelings Matter’ This is a great chance to get your kids writing about feelings they share with the poster characters. You may choose to guide them with this activity to get the best results.

Classroom Rules. It is always a good idea to set your class on the right path from day one. It is also a good idea to create the rules with your students. However, I want to share some baseline rules that I believe can transcend any classroom simply because they collectively spell out most of what teachers would want for their classrooms. The following rules are contained in this set:-
We enter our classroom quietly and all lined up.
We leave our classroom quietly and all lined up.
We listen when others are talking, especially our teacher.
We look carefully and follow the directions of our teacher.
We use a quiet voice and tone. We only speak louder when presenting.
We are kind and respectful to our teachers and to each other.
We help keep our classroom clean and tidy at all times..
We always keep our hands and feet to ourselves.
We raise our hands when we have a question or when we need help.
We share with our friends when they are in need.
We work quietly at our desks and do not disturb our neighbors.
We walk carefully in the classroom and hallway.
We always greet our visitors with a smile when they enter our classroom.
I am pretty sure that they cover a wide area. However, if you are in need of additions to this set, let me know through the question and answer tab below..

The Real Easter Story is a two-in-one mini book (you get two copies per page) created with images that should appeal to young children. The sentences are simple, however, the vocabulary may pose a challenge to some. Therefore I would recommend that some assistance be given to students. This product comes in black and white only to facilitate easy printing and of course to allow students to color the pages themselves. The pages are set for double sided printing. I also included both a colored and a black and white version of the mini-book cover page for you.
Enjoy!

Homophone Memory Sheets are a fantastic way to get your students to remember the spelling of confusing homophones. Research has shown that when students use drawings and illustrations with words they make meaningful associations thus facilitating easy recall. Let your kiddos draw their own pictures to remember the homophones. In the case of low imagery words that cannot be depicted students can either find their own unique way to remember the word or simple leave it blank. The trick is that the other word in the pair would help them to make that distinction in spelling. Students can compile the sheets and form their own homophone dictionary for future reference.
Included in this set is a blank template for adding more pairs to the set.
