SUGGESTED USES FOR POSTERS:
Classroom posters can be used as a teaching tool to recognize goals, set expectations or to introduce or review concepts. They can be used as standalone aids to help students master particular strategies and techniques.
The following are different ways of using classroom posters:
They can be printed standard size (8.5x11 inches) and binded into a booklet as a study resource for students as an individual or small group activity.
As anchor charts
They can be used as reference books for small group use. Simply print and slide pages in sheet protectors to compile a binder or folder document.
They can be used as individual reference charts. Simply print the black-line version (if available) onto colored paper for students to stick in their notebooks or interactive journals.
Vowels: Consonants: Vowels and Consonants Posters: These posters are great for your literacy centers, word walls, focus walls or anywhere that you want your kids to remember the vowels and consonant sounds. Place Value: Lending a Helpful Hand- A Place Value Story for Kids: Here is an original story that explains the place value concept of ones, tens and hundreds using three characters. The story describes the 'carrying over' principle in a simple storyline with bright graphics. I also included a place value mat which uses the same characters from the story. The mat can be used to introduce the concept until your kids are able to explain the process clearly. I suggest that you use craft sticks as counters initially so that your students can role play the events of the story.
