In this series of lessons for English language learners, students roleplay as interviewers and pop stars. Supported by worksheets and role cards, the students perform and record the interview speaking activity. This is followed by a collaborative writing task, peer-supported proof-reading, and a final performance. The main activity is supplemented by three grammar review sessions, focusing on subject-verb agreement, possessive adjectives, and consistent tense use. Suggested extension/ homework activities are also provided.
This series of lessons was very successful every time I taught it to ESL / EAL learners. Each segment of the main activity builds upon what has gone before. Vocabulary research and practice precede the role-play, and targetted grammar practice prepares the students for the writing task. The proof-reading and further role-play practice lead into the final presentation. The grammar review sessions feature detailed grammar presentations, group and individual practice activities, and grammar games. I designed a lot of interdependence into the activities and the students collaborated really well and had a lot of fun.
All lessons are supported by high-quality, detailed PowerPoints and a step-by-step teacher guide/ lesson plan. Multiple versions of PowerPoints are provided to ensure compatibility with PowerPoint 97 to 2016. PDF alternatives are also included.
This pack should cover about 5 lessons (before the extension activities) depending on the speed and English ability of your students.

This 4-page worksheet is for English, ESL, and EAL students to practice positive / affirmative sentence, negative sentences, and questions using the present simple tense and modal verbs. The worksheet features grammar structure tables followed by a variety of different practice exercises, including gap-fills, changing sentences, sentence writing, error identification and correction, and question writing.
I found this worksheet really useful for teaching English as a Foreign Language. Although the target grammar is quite basic, an annual or semester review always proved very helpful to many of my students. The grammar tables were also great revision-aids.
I’ve provided 4 different versions of the worksheet: A4 color, A4 grayscale, A5 color, and A5 grayscale. The A5 sheets are designed to be printed on A4, cut in two and pasted into notebooks. An answer key is included.

This pack of 64 conversation prompt cards and supporting activities was my go-to resource when teaching English as a Foreign Language. They’re awesome for milling activities, providing scaffolding, and building speaking confidence. Not only do they make a great warmer for English, EAL, and ESL classes, but they can also be used to improve follow-up question skills and develop relationships between students and teachers. They’re also great for a warmer in any English-speaking classroom.
The cards feature starter questions, statements, and actions, and are split into eight, color-coded categories. Each category has ‘easier’ prompts (silver star cards) and ‘more difficult’ prompts (gold star cards).
Step-by-step instructions for 5 main activities and 1 extension activity are also provided.
*** These are all different cards than in the 200-card Conversation Card Pack.
*** The cards are provided in .pdf format inside a zip file. You will need a .pdf reader and a zip program to use this product.
