Lesson planned as part of a year 8 SOW. It includes a lesson overview/ plan slide and begins looking at what students already know about India. It covers key terms, some geographical points about the origins of Hinduism and an ATS style video worksheet. The relfection task is based on Tom Holts writing/ talk on the ‘‘messiness of religion’’ and was recently shared by Tom on his social media.

Made and used displayed in he department to help studnets break down exam quesitons- focused on AQA RE exam spec.

Done as part of a themed week and aimed at KS3 classes. It focuses on the documentary made by the BBC Paddy and Christian McGuinness: Our family and Autism

I used this sheet with set 6 of 6. It uses an ATS style video sheet that asks focused questions to answer from the video. We watched the video twice and then had coloured pen time to add ideas from the answer sheet. I have also included exam questions from past papers with the mark scheme.

Done with set 1 year 8 classes. One class took two lessons to complete and the other took 1. You focus on situation ethics and how this can be applied to moral decision making and then are assigned a moral standpoint to complete the silent debate. Use of different coloured pens shows which stand point they have to write/ argue from.

Made to use for a cover lesson based on the Edexcel RC GCSE. Activities are included on each page building up to past exam questions.

Used as a starter/ recall task and as part of revision. Some students have printed it and turned it into flash cards.

A lesson I have heard about on several training courses and speaking to teacher friends. Made from scratch with the exception of the infographics which are just from the internet. Made for AQA style exam questions. You will need to buy the biscuits and might want to adapt the lesson for what you buy.
