5 Minute Time Fillers/ Games

Art and Design learning about hot and cold colours. Pupils colour the melting snowman with hot colours such as red, yellow and orange, and the cold snowman with cold colours, blue, green and purple. Used in early years but upper school as revision of hot and cold colours.

The Birth of the Buddha Lesson Includes story and powerpoint pictures and storyboard activity. Suitable for 2nd Level/ KS2.

Print and laminate to display class time for hand washing. Hand washing completed as a carousel, to allow all children to wash soap hands for at least 20 seconds.

The Hodgeheg Novel Study using the Reading strategies Prior Knowledge, Main Idea, Metalingustics, Summarising, Inferences and Visualisation. Used as a modelling block for Primary 3. Some resources included, other resources were found on Tes and Twinkl.

Create an Owl Fact File/ Report on a type of owl and present information in Owl shaped booklet. Research and Report task, two ability writing frames included (could be adapted further). Based on teaching with The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark, Owl Babies and nocturnal animals. Suitable for primary level, will be completing this with a Primary 3 class, but could easily be used for upper primary levels.
