Been teaching for ten years. I have had several responsibilities in my career such as Acting HOD, Lead Teacher in whole school T&L and PSHE co-ordinator. I am also a Governor at a Primary School to develop my knowledge of transition. I am now a permanent HOD leading a team of seven amazing staff delivering a range of subjects which include Food Studies, RM, Electronics, CAD/CAM and Fashion at KS3, GCSE Food, PD/ DT and Fashion. All GCSE courses are AQA or Edexcel. I'm also a Professional Mentor and LGBT lead. I have a personal/professional interest in behaviour management, creativity within the classroom, leadership, effective CPD and the role of a Form Tutor. I have been able to use my interests to lead CPD sessions internally and externally to share my resources and experience.
