Included are: square, rhombus, parallelogram, trapezoid, equilateral, isosceles, scalene, kite, rectangle.
There is a 1 and 2 star sheet (same content) where less information is given on the higher sheet and relies more on the child’s prior knowledge.
Task where children match up 2D polygons with their correct names.
The task is differentiated 3 ways where the higher sheets provide less information and rely more on pupil prior knowledge.
Sheet includes square, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octogon, nonogon, decagon.
Three way differentiated task on calculating the area of parallelograms and triangles.
One star sheet - Handling of triangle and quadrilateral areas using simpler numbers.
Two star sheet - Handling of triangle and parallelogram areas where long multiplication will need to be applies - also touches on splitting whole numbers.
Three star sheet - Larger areas and numbers to be handled and problems that require reasoning and working systematically.
Three differentiated worksheets incorporating area and perimeter of rectangles (touching a little on compound shapes).
