I have done this for the task 'A Day Out', but to adapt it for any other task all you would need to do is copy and paste the task bullet points from the spec. The grade descriptions are adapted from the Module 3 marking criteria and the spec grade descriptions and are of course for rough guidance purposes only - hope yo find them suitable! A resource for foundation students sitting the AQA Spanish GCSE. Each role play from the AQA specimen speaking paper is included, along with the teacher notes and some exemplar answers. There are also some tips for the role play and guidance on how to use the resource.

A unit of work with vocabulary, grammar and activities to help students reflect on how to create A-A* work for their Speaking and Writing controlled assessments, according to AQA and Edexcel marking criteria. This resource is best used in conjunction with a dictionary (including online), and is also useful for building reading confidence. The exemplar texts could be read out as part of a dictation activity also, with pupils checking what they wrote with the exemplar texts, to help with listening skills. It is suitable for independent or cover work, as well as homework or teacher-led activities.

A unit of work to help students prepare for the upcoming that can be used in class or as independent revision. It has many hours worth of activities and encourages progress through low stakes testing and spaced learning, as well as providing sample answers and vocabulary and key language support. The handbook describes each task in the AQA speaking exam, including success criteria, and provides sample questions and answers. Tasks are designed to build confidence and knowledge. Support in the form of a knowledge capture sheet is given in a separate document. There is enough here to cover all lessons and independent learning in the run up to the AQA speaking exam at the beginning of May , especially if adequate time is given for self-testing (which I strongly recommend).

Taken from the AQA website and adapted to make it easier to present to teachers. Useful perhaps for departmental meetings and/or training on the new GCSE being taught from this September. Note: It is unclear to me why the higher mark scheme is also levelled 1-5. Surely it should be 6-9? I will enquire with AQA and update when I am clear. For now this is useful to get to grips with the new format and success criteria. If made a little more accessible could also be used for pupils. I will try to adapt to make more pupil-friendly and post this resource also. Hope you find this useful in the meantime.

A study guide to writing complex French, with a large vocabulary bank and series of activities to build confidence in reading and then writing complex French. Enables independent work in more able students.

A lengthy worksheet designed to enable British students to reflect on the success criteria for GCSE Spanish at A* - how to gain the highest possible marks in the exam they take aged 16. The resource contains a crib sheet with vocabulary and grammar, as well as some higher level exemplar texts to help pupils practice reading more complex Spanish as well as adapting the texts in order to create their own higher level texts. This worksheet would be suitable for those seeking to enhance their spoken and written Spanish.

A resource to help those who struggle with accurate spelling. Suitable for KS3 and KS4 new GCSE to help pupils to memorise some of the essential basic phrases required across topics. Great for cover and independent work and as a next steps activity to prepare for writing assessment (or after writing assessment for those who failed to construct accurate basic phrases. Best to be printed A3 size as otherwise, in my experience, pupil complain of lack of space. Oddly this is a popular activity with lower ability and less motivated pupils who, though they claim to have aching hands, are very often very pleased with themselves for being able to memorise key phrases, and like the structured nature of the activity. A great confidence-booster.
