Powerpoint includes historical views (x4), videos, key research summary, summary of Rosenhan & Seligman’s definitions of abnormality, DSM 5 summary, summary of characteristics of disorders (depression, schizophrenia and phobias) with prompts for evaluation throughout.

Observation Introduction Task in line with Unit 1 (Research Methods) of the OCR A Level Specification. Powerpoint outlines event and time sampling before setting students a practical using livestream cameras (links included). Students must complete a 30 minute observation using time sampling. They are given options for the livestream but must decide behavioural categories, record their data and summarise within a pie chart. Powerpoint gives clear guidelines, tips and example of raw data table and pie chart. I use this as an introduction so that the experience of conducting an observation enables students to pick up key terms (such as covert, participant observation etc) much easier and also gives them experience to refer to when evaluating.

Template for Environmental Psychology Topics 1-6. In line with the OCR A level specification (unit 3 - Applied Psychology). Powerpoint includes a full slide for a 5 mark summary of key research and then a slide for 4 additional study summaries. In line with my chosen additional studies but can be easily changed for your college/school’s options. My powerpoints are available separately with answers.

Guidance for the Unit 1 (Research Methods) section B 15 mark questions. As part of the OCR A level Psychology specification. Powerpoint includes overview of the paper, example of a 15 mark question (from the 2022 paper), outline of structure for each paragraph, example paragraph with explanation why it is good and a spot the mistakes activity. I’ve attached the spot the mistakes activity as a worksheet (both pdf and word). Students will write mistake(s) under each paragraph and can also fix the paragraphs by deleting/adding stuff in. Space has been allowed for this on the sheet but can also be done ‘live’ on a teacher computer if preferred.
