A lesson designed to give an overview of India.
Sheet needs printing in A3.
This is best done at the end of the development unit due to coverage of many key areas (Rostows, Industry etc).
Pupils use the information in each section to outline the key learning for each section.
I allowed students to just get on with the parts that they could complete & then topped up their learning as I walked around.

This is a great task that asks students: What would we do if an asteroid was going to hit the earth?
It looks at the countries that would be effected, which involves some mapping & maths work.
It then goes on to looking at what the earths options would be. They choose what to do.
Finally pupils look at who they would choose to save.

I got pupils to cut cirles out of A2 coloured paper in order to create the 2 venn circles needed for the task.
They then create a venn diagram.

Students create an IT presentation & present to the class.
Understanding is then tested using the T&F quiz. MRI/knowledge gaps are also addressed at the bottom of the test sheet.

I got students to create a traffic tally on a local road, whilst keeping then in the school grounds. I then did a comparison on the city of Delhi (found a clip on youtube).
Students then created a bar graph & then moved on to completing a more complex data presentation.
