A resource that outlines all the different ways to present learning

A really useful tool that outlines the types of tasks that students can do when working creatively and/or independently. This can be used in any subject or linked to any unit of study. It is great to use for metacognitive learning and setting up units of independent learning, especially useful for pupils that struggle to know what to do.

evaluation of primary and secondary methods sheets AQA OCR edexcel

(0)
A sheet used to enable pupils to evaluate (clearly) the pros & cons of primary & secondary methods of data collection linked to a human & physical piece of fieldwork. Spaces are generally blank so as to allow them to be populated with the fieldwork tasks undertaken at you centre. It simply summarises the key points & makes explicit links to fieldwork, without being overly complex.

A lesson that enables pupils to put a whole lot of information onto a single sheet. Best printed in A3. Pupils look at the global distribution of tropical storms, rainforests & deserts. They analyse the climate and add case study location. Pupils add a piece of tracing paper onto the map (best stuck down with blu-tac) to locate & plot rainforests. This is a basic GIS.

geography OCR A pre exam handout skills

An A3 sheet that I used as a pre examination handout. It covers the basics of the content for paper 3 (skills). This was copied in colour, laminated and provided to pupils as they were waiting to sit their exam. It could easily be used for any geography exam board or simply used as a skills revision sheet.

A worksheet to use with pupils post assessment. Students firstly create a percentage from their test score. They then collect data from their peers and fill in the table. Once completed, they order the data and calculate the mean & median. They then plot the data as a stack graph or double bar graph (boys & girls). To finish, they complete the target setting sheet. Data can be analysed once all elements have been done. Can be used with all year groups, but works well for KS3.

geography 1-9 ks3 lesson human physical

A simple, but effective lesson linked to gaining an understanding of human & physical geography. Pupils will need to bring in magazines, newspaers or old books to cut up. I got pupils to cut cirles out of A2 coloured paper in order to create the 2 venn circles needed for the task. They then create a venn diagram. A super lesson that is practical & fun.

Perfect for teachers planning PSHE 2020 curriculum or as Tutor Time Resources. Includes everything needed. These resources have been designed to be engaging, detailed and easy to follow. All our resources are editable (so easy to adapt for your classes) and are designed to last one hour each. An engaging lesson that looks at what it means to be British for young people today. Students look at being British from their own and others opinions. They have a go at getting the 75% needed on the British quiz (all on PowerPoint). They move on to predicting what things might be like in the future. There is a success criteria so pupils can either self or peer assess their work. Great for KS3, 4 and can easily be broken up for primary pupils. A lesson that truly gets kids thinking and is very simple to deliver.
