All my lessons and Schemes of Learning are fully resourced, although you may need to add YouTube links where specified. Two listening questions for Edexcel Music A Level on On Wenlock Edge, the first song in the Vaughan Williams Cycle. Each one includes the questions, a skeleton score and a mark scheme, as well as precise instructions on which extract to play from the Anthology (or on a YouTube clip, if you prefer). Great for use in class or to set as independent learning. Also available in a bundle with questions for the other two songs in the set work.

A set of listening questions for the three songs from On Wenlock Edge in the Edexcel Music A Level specification. There are two questions for each song, each one comprising the questions, a skeleton score and mark scheme, as well as precise instructions on which extract to play from the Anthology recording or from a YouTube link, whichever works better for you. Great for use in class or for setting as independent or revision work, if you give your students the mark scheme. Can be printed out or easily uploaded for a digital classroom. Also available as pairs of questions for the individual songs.

You will need to add a YouTube link as suggested but everything else is there for you. This SoL has given great results for my students and has been revised and developed. Part 2 introduces modulations and more complex chord patterns, as well as some key stylistic features that will help them achieve the highest marks in A Level exams. All explanations and exercises are included. No other resources needed.

A fully resourced 6-lesson SoL for Year 7, based on understanding parallels with different art forms. Students will appraise various paintings and music, looking at parallels, before composing their own original piece based on a painting of their choice. The scheme gives options for using notation or not, as you prefer. It comprises 6 sets of lesson slides, composing and self-evaluation sheets, assessment criteria, stimulus sheet and lesson overview. All the music is chosen and you will just need to add the YouTube links as suggested (about 10 minutes work!). There are printable options for worksheets but it is also easily convertable to a digital format if required. This SoL has worked brilliantly for my Year 7s and really helps to focus on the musical elements and their own musical imaginations.
