This covers specific 3,4 and 6 mark questions from Unit 1 June 2012 for the AQA Spec B June 2012 paper 1. The presentation helps pupils observe in bullet point form and helps them practice questions using mark scheme based answers. in many cases pupils were pleasantly surprised to see some of the responses that can help them pick up marks. This can be used over and over again to support interventions as well as lesson specific activities.

A resource to support the improvement of pupils in using evidence in their answers. This targets knowledge and understanding for the option on Christianity in AQA A 9-1 Religious Studies. The resources have been successfully used to improve pupil outcomes between grades 4-6.

Model answers using the exam markscheme to help pupils revise. This can also be used to model, scaffold and support teaching and learning in the AQA A 9-1 Christianity option. Colleagues can also use the resource as part of curriculum planning where pupils can complete a relevant exam question and compare it to a model response.

AQA SPEC A GRADE 9-1 TABLE to support pupils with a broad understanding of what grade they are. The new SPEC has yet to publish actual numbers on what the Grade 9-1 will look like in practice and we will be waiting till 2018 before knowing the boundaries. This PPT should help give an indication for teachers and staff. The grade boundaries have been developed with our Local SACRE and involve skills, knowledge and bloom commands. The removal of levels has essentially led to new levels however, these descriptors bridge with KS4 outcomes.

This resource can ideally be used across two lessons. Pupils can explore each quote and what it means Pupils can be encouraged to develop each quote using the headings below Quotes are paraphrased to allow accessibility for lower and middle attainers Quotes can be used for paired discussion Teacher can give a sheet with religious and non-religious concepts from paper 1 and Paper 2 Themes and pupils can allocate quotes that apply to more than one topic to consolidate. Having used it across the ability range, pupil feedback was positive and they felt more comfortable using them Allows for coverage across both papers At a higher level pupils could learn to manipulate and apply quotes across ALL themes

To support the Spec B AQA Religious Studies GCSE - model answers for unit 1 Religion and citizenship, covering identity, relationships, sport and multicultural society, marked and checked by an AQA examiner. This will be the last year for this spec but it is very relevant for the new GCSE 9-1 Religious studies GCSE targeted towards Grade 1-6. Each key concept or word has the most relevant quotes so pupils can have a one stop shop as to the most appropriate quotes. These quotes and beliefs are from the AQA Mark scheme for each unit and builds on my topic specific knowledge organisers but is explicitly linked to religious quotes and beliefs.

Support teaching learning and revision for the 9-1 GCSE Religious Studies option on Islam. It can be used at all abilities but specifically for middle to low so as to understand the many ways in which beliefs and practices overlap and how religious evidence can be used to support progress in different topics. Hi all, this is an answer maker/scaffold/pupil aid that can be used to develop GCSE exam style responses. This covers all the AQA A GCSE Christianity and Islam advanced content released by AQA. It can be used with KS4 and end of KS3. The template can work at KS3 also. Pupils can each have one and the teacher can set exam style questions. The Knowledge is organised so pupil’s written output is improved and promotes independence after consistent use. We teach pupils the PEEL but also accept there are a range of responses which are creditable under AQA Markschemes We focus on influence/importance to develop responses for analysis and evaluation The answer makers can be used to construct responses across the ability range. Lower/Middle attainers can use it to develop better writing practices and get use to the core language needed to respond to the question. Having tested it, lower and middle attainers, missed less questions out in their last mocks. This can be used in multiple ways but is a crucial learning aid for exam preparation and can replace any revision materials as pupils will have had experience using it in their lessons.

The New Grade 9-1 Framework for GCSE RS began this term. The Assessment Framework supports grade boundaries and the statement of attainment concerning each grade from 9-1. This is still in its infancy but the move away from levels has caused confusion and resulted in numerous systems. I hope and trust this is helpful. This was mainly developed to bridge the Key Stage 3 move away from levels and make it representative of GCSE 9-1.
