The purpose of the activity is to demonstrate how interest groups function and what role they play in government. It requires them to think critically and research how past concepts are still prevalent today. This Industrial Revolution was a time of change and prosperity and like any historical event, many connections to the present day can be found in the history of that time period. For this activity, students are tasked with finding present day current events that relate to concepts from the Industrial Revolution.
