In this document, students will create their own unique government/country. Students will be guided through the process of creating unique economies, class systems, legislatures, court systems, and many more aspects of a country. This resource includes examples and definitions of important terms and vocabulary that will be used throughout the activity. The activity also includes directions for the the creation of a piece of propaganda supporting your newly created country. This resource comprises multiple pages and is a project designed for students to create their own government. Some examples of what students must complete include: define territorial units, create an economy, legislature, list the powers of the head of state, design a judicial system, and find allies among classmates. This document includes instructions for creating a board game based on the process of becoming a Medieval Knight. This document is meant to supplement a chapter/unit concerning the Middle Ages/Medieval Times. Students will be required to research and create their own board game based on the path to knighthood. Also included in this document is a set of response questions for students to answer after the completion of the project.

This printable worksheet is a one page document created using Microsoft Word. It is designed to be used with the internet or printed for students to complete. This is a good product to use for homework or sub plans as everything the students need is present on the worksheet. This activity includes important information about the Electoral College election process in the United States: The United States uses the Electoral College to elect a President and Vice President. Each state is given a certain number of “electors.” The number of electors from each state is dependent on the number of members that state has in Congress (EXAMPLE: Ohio has 2 Senators and 16 House of Representatives members; therefore Ohio has 18 electoral votes.) The electors in each state are “supposed” to vote for the candidate that wins the popular vote in that state. If a candidate wins the state, they typically get all of the electoral votes for that state. In order for a candidate to win, they must win at least 270 electoral votes. In the case of a tie or if no candidate gets a majority (270 votes,) the House of Representatives decides the outcome. Within the House of Representatives, each state delegation receives one vote to cast. A majority is required to win (26 votes) The above information is included on the worksheet for students to refer to as they complete the three extended response questions that make up the rest of the worksheet. The extended response questions assess students on their knowledge of the process, opinion on the process, and potential problems/issues with the system. This one page document provides links to two short youtube videos about the current conflicts causing instability in present day Middle East. The document provides the links to the two videos and then questions about each of the videos. A task, asking students to create a visual is present at the end of the document.

This resource is a set of review questions that follow along with the film War Horse, directed by Steven Spielberg. It is the story of a horse and his journey from farm to the frontlines of World War I. The questions in this product include questions relating to the film itself and also critical thinking questions about WWI and the effects of war. This would be a great resource to use with students as they watch the film. The questions follow the film in order and are well connected to the history of WWI. The purpose of the web quest is to get students to understand the importance of budgeting and how to manage debt and borrow money responsibly. Four websites are used in this web quest. They are: Debt Test - Students answer questions to test their knowledge about debt. Money Quiz - Students complete a quiz about personal finance. Financial Services - Students complete questions about financial services. Video - Students watch a brief video about Warren Buffet and borrowing money The webquest guides students through a variety of websites about loans, borrowing money, and debt. This Industrial Revolution Resource tasks students with making connection from the past to aspects of today’s society. It requires them to think critically and research how past concepts are still prevalent today.
