Prefixes Clip Cards

These clip cards are a great way for students to practice adding prefixes to root words. 32 cards are included; each card has three possible answers. Students select the correct answer by clipping a clothespin, peg or paper clip to it. I like to laminate these cards so students can simply circle the correct answer using a dry erase marker. These cards are great for talk partner work, think-pair-share or in a tough spot. Alternatively, you can print these on paper to hand out to your class at the end of the lesson; pupils circle the correct answer and hand in as a great exit ticket or plenary to the lesson. These are perfect for KS1 pupils but may be helpful for your lower KS2 pupils too. Initial Sound Clip Cards

Initial Sound Clip Cards

Here are over 60 clip cards for initial sounds. This is a great phonics activity for early years or for some key stage 1 pupils. It encourages children to hear the initial sound in a CVC word. Once the initial sound is established children can then blend and read the word. This is great in a tough spot for continuous provision or as a table top activity. I like to laminate these as they can be used with clips or with dry erase felt tips.
