Ever since my PGCE I have been convinced that every Maths topic has a unique and interesting way to be taught. 7 years later and I have collected and created 100s of resources to prove my point. All resources, including IB and A Level, are designed to be thoroughly engaging but yet cover every bit of content required with plenty of practise too. Teach LCM with the life of the Cicada bugs or teach proportions using celebrity faces and the golden ratio. All fully animated engaging powerpoints.

Absolutely everything you need to teach Circle Theorems. Intersecting Chords is not in the GCSE but nice extension for the top ability and is in the MEP. Guides students to write revision notes for each theorem and gives directed practise after each theorem is learnt (on powerpoint and on worksheet). Finish with (or use throughout) a 50 question worksheet that hits all theorems. All answers included. A handy worksheet to help students match theorems to questions for revision later down the line also included.

A fun starter that looks at a particular magic square that has over 25 ways of making the magic number. Animated PowerPoint allows students to try and find some of the unique ways of getting the magic number.

Students have to compete to find the maths word that relates to the four questions. The answer to each question is a clue to the final word. If the student calls out the correct maths word after the first question they get 4 points. If they guess after the 2nd question they get 3 points and so on. Guess incorrectly then they are frozen out of that round. Contains 15 rounds but set up so you can create your own (or get students to make them!) very easily.

A fun couple of lessons to get students use to using their compass. I always use this lesson before starting the constructions unit. This resource demonstrates how to draw two different patterns and then encourages students to have a go at making their own crop circles. The patterns easily take up one lesson. The crop circles can be saved for another lesson later in the year.

I have written a number of mini tests to fit perfectly on to one sheet of A4 (I actually print them 2 to a page so A5!). These tests can be completed and peer marked in the same lesson and will be reused by you many many times over the years. Really easy to mark due to the layout of the test paper and the markschemes included. This test is particularly difficult looking at 3D trig and bearings. At least 3 lessons worth of material. First lesson goes through Highest Common Factors and Lowest Common Multiples. Engaging nature facts and memorable methods help the learning of these skills. Moves on to understanding prime numbers and what they are. Followed by prime factor trees (prime factor decomposition). This leads into using prime factors to calculate the HCF and LCM using Venn Diagrams.

A very unique treasure hunt. Instructions for use: Students start on any question. Write down letters to answers as they go along (NOT the question they started on!) The collection of letters make a word but not in order. They can use an online unscrambler to find the word. They stop when a question sends them back to a letter they already have. It is the longest possible word where no letters repeat.

Two lessons worth. 12 A* questions that are worth around 7 marks each. I use 6 in a lesson where I place one on each table and students get 5-10 minutes (you decide!) before moving onto the next table. The powerpoint shows step by step method and solutions for each question.

This is a fun lesson for the very able. After teaching functions and their graphs and transformations of graphs this lesson guides students in using this knowledge to draw graphical pictures. The worksheet teaches the student step by step by guiding them to draw a house with a chimney. That takes the first 20-30 minutes at which point students are directed to drawing their own.
