I specialise in general science resources for KS3 and KS4 and biology for KS5. I try to make my resources suitable for non-specialists and teachers new to the subject, by including answers to any questions and full step-by-step explanations. I love flashcards and try to make a set for each unit I deliver. I am in the process of upgrading these to colour coded (differentiated) sets. All newly added resources will have a remote-learning version too (just in case :-))

This is a single lesson on ‘Data manipulation’ Produced for KS3 it is also suitable for KS4 lower sets. We have produced 20 different ‘science skills’ lessons for each of years 7 and 8 which we deliver in 5 'skills weeks throughout the year. I will make these lessons availably singly, in sets of 10 and as whole year sets as they become available. This is year 7 - skills week lesson 5 The lessons can of course be taught in any order and as stand-alone lessons. All lessons have literacy support sheets where needed for students who struggle with writing and differentiated questions where applicable. Lessons are suitable for delivery by specialists and non-specialists and this lesson has a remote learning version included.

This is lesson 4 of the Cells and movement unit in Activate 1. It includes a powerpoint presentation, starting activity, Sheets to label, SEN literacy support and images to stick in books to break up chunks of text. I do plan to make this part of a bundle when I have finished planning the whole unit, where I will include flashcards for revision too (hopefully by the end of November 2018)

Whole lesson and resources for lesson three (Joints) of the Activate 1 book unit ‘Movement and cells’ . Included is the Powerpoint presentation, table for practical Clipart (for students to cut and stick to break up their text) and an SEN literacy support sheet. For this lesson you will need access to several scales that measure in newtons. A model of a skeleton would be useful too, but is not essential.

Here are 80 double-sided flashcards (print double-sided, flip on long edge). Each question card has the answer on the back. I have colour coded the cards (blue easiest / green harder, red hardest) so you can differentiate by only setting certain coloured cards for different students, or by asking students to learn them in order (bluest first) so they learn the basic information first.

This is a set of flashcards created for the cell biology unit for AQA Biology. The flashcards are double-sided (flip on long edge), so the answer is on the reverse of each card, and are colour-coded with blue cards being the easiest, green mid-difficulty and red the most challenging. With my lowest ability groups I ask them to learn the blue cards as a minimum. My higher ability groups learn the blue cards first, then the green and red cards.
