Introduction to Quality Street Analysis (Edquas Media Studies GCSE)
Powerpoint and additional resources introducing the Quality Street advert for GCSE Media Studies (Eduqas). The lesson introduces some key terms (mise-en-scene) and then focuses on the Narrative and Meaning behind the Quality Street Product.
Eduqas Media Studies Exam Question Pack (Over 60 exam questions) Comp 1
This is a 62 slide exam question pack. It covers the Eduqas Media Studies Component 1 products ( Section A - Adverts, Magazines, Newspapers, Film Posters and Section B- Fortnite, The Archers, The Sun Industry/Audiences, No Time To Die Industry). This is for the 2024 exam so includes the Raheem Sterling GQ and the two Covid Newspapers.
For the Section A products the pack includes questions and space for answers for Questions 1a,b,c and 2a (please note - 2b comparison questions are not included in this pack). For the Section B products the pack includes questions and space for answers for Questions 3a,b,c,d and 4a,b,c,d (except for No Time To Die which is Industry only - Question 3).
There are approximately 64 questions for Section A, and over 100 questions for Section B.
Media Taster Session based on Netflix's Wednesday
A taster session aimed at Year 9 introducing them to some of the skills analysing media codes. This is focused on the Netflix show Wednesday and how it demonstrates some horror codes and conventions.

This looks at some adverts from the 1950s and discusses the representation of women and the application to the QS advert, as well as introducing some context and setting up for a 5 mark exam question on context.
