The Emmeline Pankhurst presentation covers Emmeline’s childhood, the suffrage movement, her protests, her imprisonment and the results of the movement. The presentation on Emily Davison covers Emily’s education, before moving onto her actions in the suffragette movement, her imprisonment and finally her death and legacy. The presentation on Millicent Fawcett covers her childhood, early political involvement and the successful suffrage movement. There is one set of comprehensions about the celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee which cover what a Platinum Jubilee is, how the Queen and others are celebrating, ways that children can get involved and green projects. The second set of comprehensions cover 70 years of British history and the history of the Queen’s reign. There is a section on each decade. There are three differentiated booklets for each topic. There are a range of ‘what,’ ‘where,’ ‘who, ’ ‘which’ and ‘when’ questions and some multiple choice tick questions. Each activity contains a title page with useful words followed by four pages with short written extracts to read and 3-4 questions per page.
