This is a 5 lesson French unit for KS2. It teaches children vocabulary around the theme of ‘My Town.’ The topics covered include types of home, landmarks around town, directions, environments and describing a scene.
The plans all give details of a starter, how to teach the new vocabulary, followed by a combination of listening activities, speaking activities, reading/writing activities and plenary. Each lesson is highly interactive and allows children to practise a range of language skills.
All resources needed for the lessons are included in the price. This includes a PowerPoint for each containing the new vocabulary. These PowerPoints are not editable. Please click ‘Read Only’ to open. Some images only appear when the PowerPoints are played with the animations.

This resource contains 4 comprehension activities all about Pancake Day/Shrove Tuesday. They are suitable for using with year 1 or lower ability year 2.
They each contain a short piece of text with words that can be sounded out. There are three trickier words which have pictures to help children work out what they say.
The text is followed by 5 simple questions.
