This resource is a non-fiction comprehension activity for year 2. It is all about the human body, with a focus on organs, blood and skin! The PDF booklet is based on the KS1 SATs reading paper and includes 3 differentiated levels. There are a range of ‘what,’ ‘how,’ and ‘where’ questions, some multiple choice tick questions and some that require more detailed answers. The activity is also laid out in a similar way to the SATs booklets, with four pages of pictures with written extracts to read and several questions per page. The higher and middle levels contain 18 questions each and the lower level contains 14 questions. All of the documents are in the zip file. This resource is a set of 5 Art lessons based around the theme of the sea, oceans and water for KS1. The key skills that are taught include creating different tones and shades with paint and pencil, using shapes, patterns and lines and experimenting with different materials. There are 3 different artists used as inspiration, all of whom have painted the sea or water using very different techniques. The children have the opportunity to work alone for 4 lessons and part of a collaborative group project for the final lesson. They have lots of opportunity to choose what materials they work with. The 15 page pdf lesson plans are very detailed and include a list of any resources you will need to get out of the cupboard. There are also details of curriculum links and examples of work from my classes. I have included the simple 7 slide PowerPoint I used for the series of lessons, which contains examples of the artists’ work around which the lessons are based. I hope you enjoy the lessons! This is a plan and resources for a beginner’s French lesson to use with KS2. It would be perfect to use as a first French lesson, as it involves children learning the most basic vocabulary. The lesson plan gives details of a group starter, how to teach the ‘greetings’ vocabulary, a whole class game, a speaking and listening activity, writing activity and plenary. It is highly interactive and allows children to practise a range of language skills. There is a PowerPoint which includes an audio version of each French word or phrase to make it easier for anyone to be able to teach the lesson. You can also play the PowerPoint without the audio. This resource is a non-fiction comprehension activity for year 2. The theme of the comprehension is ‘living in space’ and the booklet covers what it is like for astronauts living in space stations, including what they eat, how they sleep, how they exercise and what they do in their spare time. It would be perfect for using during ‘World Space Week’ in October, during a space topic or during ‘Science Week.’ The booklets are based on the KS1 SATs reading paper. A collection of 3 practice SATs SPaG papers for year 6. All three papers are based on a past SPaG paper 1. Each practice paper contains 50 questions focussing on a range of punctuation and grammar. Answers are also included. This includes tenses, sentence types, semi-colons, colons, brackets, hyphens, commas, subordinate clauses, prefixes, word classes, apostrophes, pronouns, synonyms and antonyms. This resource includes an assembly plan and 19 slide PowerPoint to use for Women's History Month or International Women's Day on 8th March. No further preparation needed. The assembly is suitable to use with KS2 or secondary aged children. This resource is designed to use with year 2 children in preparation for the SPaG SATs. The activity allows children to practise past and present tense problems; a topic which came up a number of times in past papers. There are 3 different activities, all based on the SATs questions: One activity asks children to tick which word they think fits correctly in the sentence, encouraging them to think abut tense/verb agreement. There are 18 questions. One activity asks children to tick whether sentences are past or present tense. There are three sets of 8 questions.
