Sheets to aid planning before a piece of descriptive writing. Images show beaches but can be adapted to any image or purpose. Use in conjunction with a thesaurus to drive ambitious choices. Asks the pupils to consider adjectives alongside descriptive verbs and nouns, using senses and considering basic language devices. Finally, extending into trial sentences ready for modeled slow writes.
